Arrow Exterminators Announces 2018 Internal Scholarship Contest Winners
Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators recently announced the four winners of its fourth annual internal scholarship program. The scholarship program was open to Arrow team members and their dependents who were either graduating high school seniors or enrolled in a college program. The applicants were asked to write a short essay on what has surprised them the most about the Pest Control Industry.
The following four students are the winners of the scholarship program and will each receive a $1,000 scholarship:
Hannah Prince, the daughter of Arrow Exterminators’ team member Phillip Prince, is entering her senior year at the University of North Georgia where she is working to obtain a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and special education. She aspires to one day be a kindergarten teacher and teach a self-contained special education classroom.
LeChara Pryor, the daughter of Arrow Exterminators’ team member Charmaine Pryor, is entering her junior year at Florida International University where she is working to obtain her bachelor’s degree in arts in psychology. LeChara has served in leadership positions in many multi-directional groups on campus including Treasurer of the Black Student Union (BSU), a Research Assistant for FIU’s Mental Health Interventions and Technology Lab. She aspires to one day earn a PhD in clinical psychology.
Brittney Warner, the daughter of Arrow Exterminators’ team member Justin Warner, will be attending the University of South Alabama this upcoming fall. Brittney is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Baldwin County Virtual School, the first online school in the state of Alabama. Brittney aspires to one day participate in the Disney College Program and, after college, become a marketing expert for the Walt Disney Company.
Annie Emery, the daughter of Arrow Exterminators team member Bud Emery, will be attending the University of Samford this upcoming fall where she will be majoring in Nursing. Annie enjoys volunteering in her local community and working with children. She strives to one day become a Neo-Natal Nurse Practitioner.
Arrow Exterminators created the scholarship programs for Arrow team members and their family to encourage personal and professional growth. The money awarded is specifically designed to assist students with their higher education expenses and facilitate their path to pursuing a career.
