Arrow Exterminators Celebrates A Half Century Of Service With Their ’50 Years Young’ Campaign
Company-wide Initiative Features Community and Team Member Focused Activities
This year marks Arrow Exterminators’ 50th year in business and the company has planned a year-long celebration running during its 2014-2015 Fiscal Year. Arrow’s goals include celebrating its success and longevity, honoring the best team in the pest control industry and giving back to the local communities it serves.
Family owned and operated since 1964, Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators is staying true to its commitment to family and the community. The company has issued a challenge to all 1,400 team members and their families to help celebrate 50 Years Young by donating 50 hours of service throughout the year. The ‘50 for 50’ Team Member Challenge will generate more than 50,000 hours of community service.
“This anniversary marks a milestone that shows our endurance and commitment to the city of Atlanta as well as all the local communities we serve,” says Emily Thomas Kendrick, president and chief executive officer of Arrow Exterminators. “We are so proud to celebrate being 50 Years Young with the people who got us to this point--our team members and their families and residents of the communities we protect. We look forward to celebrating the anniversary throughout the year by rewarding the dedication of our team members and the loyalty the Atlanta community has shown to us the entire time we have been in business. While we celebrate our history, we are ready for what the future holds and look forward to the next 50 years of service. We are just getting started!”
Founded by Starkey and Imogene Thomas, Arrow was built on the belief that if you treat your team members with respect and as an extension of your family, this would in-turn be reflected on the customer. Staying true to this philosophy, Arrow kicked off the celebration with 10 regional picnics from Arizona to Florida and will host a Golden Anniversary Gala in April 2015.
With the second and third generations of the Thomas family at the helm, Arrow has grown to be a $140 million company with 84 locations serving 11 states and has 4 brands within the Arrow family of companies including Arrow, Hughes Exterminators, Nader’s Pest Raiders and Stark Exterminators. The company continues to expand both organically and through acquisitions with the goal of becoming the largest privately held pest control company in the United States.
