Arrow Exterminators Is Proud to Support Operation Stand Down
Charitable Donation and Efforts Correlate with Arrow’s Core Value of Community
Arrow Exterminators is committed to giving back to those who serve or have served our country. Marie Horner, Vice President of Government Affairs, along with other representatives from the National Pest Management Association, recently had the opportunity to work with non-profit Operation Stand Down, located in Nashville, TN, by donating $10,000 to further their mission of providing and connecting veterans and their families to job opportunities, housing, benefits, volunteerism and connection to the community.
As the chair of the NPMA’s PestVets Committee, Horner is responsible for the outreach and support of veterans in local markets around the United States. Every year, during the week of PestWorld, the committee dedicates a day of service within the veteran community. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 PestWorld was set as a virtual event, limiting the committee to certain precautions. To take place of the acts of service, the committee thought it best to create a virtual fundraiser for the Nashville, Tennessee chapter of Operation Stand Down.
“This act of service is another way that Arrow and the pest control industry is committed to helping our heroes,” said Marie Horner, Arrow’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “We are dedicated to helping veterans in the same way they have contributed to our country.”
The check was presented on January 19th, 2021 at the Operation Hands Down campus in Nashville, TN. Horner was joined by Tom Wharton with FMC Corporation, Stan Cope with Catchmaster, and Operation Stand Down team members Eden Murrie and Kyle Steffen.
Emily Thomas Kendrick, CEO of Arrow Exterminators, added, “I am beyond delighted to have Marie be a part of such a great cause and organization such as Operation Stand Down and the NPMA’s PestVets committee. We are so thankful for the opportunity to have team members dedicate their time and efforts to bettering our communities.”
